A series of paintings created from photographs and family scraps. A reconstruction of the spaces of affection in which I grew up. Revisiting all the backyards I lived in throughout my life. The series also includes a video art piece with a poem and footage from my personal archive. Reflections learned about these spaces where a Black child was formed, the passage of time, and my perceptions.
