Illustration for the interior and cover of a book. The annual publication of the Security Observatories Network monitors gender-based violence in nine Brazilian states (Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Pará, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo). 2024 edition.
This project pays homage to Julieta Hernández, Mother Bernadete, and other victims of violence in 2023. All illustrations were conceived with women working in circus arts in mind, just like Julieta. A beautiful activity, but one that can also be dangerous. An analogy to all women who, like her, find themselves at risk every day simply by living.
